Ieri girovagavo
allegramente su youtube quando mi sono imbattuta in un mio piccolo
spezzone voce-chitarra, registrato da me medesima mederrima quando
avevo circa sedici anni e inviato a una mia carissima amica distante
piu' di mille chilometri. Non sapevo l'avesse messo in rete e quando
mi sono autosentita, con una voce fin troppo giovane e una chitarra
fin troppo scattante, mi sono messa a ridere di cuore. Gli anni passano ma fa
sempre piacere ritrovarMi.

I must say, my dear blogging friend, I'm astounded to hear you sing that song so cheerful and jaunty, that was totally unexpected. Most of all the young girl singing and playing the guitar in the YouTube video you linked sounds so upbeat, happy and carefree to the point of bearing almost no resemblance with the disheveled "persona" you have so far been portraying throughout the pages of this blog.
I've always imagined you as some sort of sad, gloomy character having spent your younger years under "emotional" distress due to a dysfunctional and unhappy family background. Something doesn't add up to me here. Maybe your childhood and teenage years were not so "unhappy" after all.
Or maybe you're endowed with the rare gift to be happy and light-hearted in your own way even in very challenging circumstances.
